Robert G. Miller, chairman and chief executive officer of Portland-based Fred Meyer Inc., which has extensive operations in Utah, has been elected to PacifiCorp's board of directors.
PacifiCorp Chairman Keith R. McKennon said Miller's background in retailing will "prove invaluable as PacifiCorp continues to face an increasingly competitive future."Miller, 50, began his retailing career in 1961 as a clerk with All American Stores in Southern California. That chain was acquired in 1964 by Albertson's, and Miller rose through the ranks of the Boise-based supermarket chain to become executive vice president of retail operations.
