Our loving father and grandfather, Robert O. Anderson passed away Wednesday, August 10, 1994 at home in Ephraim, Utah.

He was born January 17, 1914 in Ephraim, Utah to Joseph Orrin and Olivia Peterson Anderson. He married Ellen Styler October 12, 1941 in the Manti Temple. He attended Snow College, LDS College and graduated from Utah State University. He enjoyed teaching school at the Ephraim Jr. High for over 20 years, and had a lifelong interest in agriculture.He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the bishopric, High Priest group, Sunday School and served eight and a half years in the Manti Temple prior to his death.

His family always came first in his life, and he taught them by example. He supported his kids in activities such as 4-H, LDS Missions, and all of his children graduated from Utah State University. He enjoyed farming and raising animals and taught his children that same enjoyment.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen and their six children: Mary Ellen (Rue) Nielsen, Pleasant Grove; Jack Robert (Eileen); Gary L. (Jannette); and Jay Val (Michele), all of Ephraim; Max Orrin (Kathy), Beaver; Jeanne (Shon) Tripp of Deer Creek; 40 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Elden J. Anderson, Boise, Idaho. Preceded in death by a sister, Ina Messinger and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 1994 at 12 noon in the Ephraim 5th LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Monday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Mortuary.
