William J. Alder, meteorologist in charge of the Salt Lake office of National Weather Service, stands in front of the agency's new $1.5 million headquarters at 2240 W. North Temple. Alder said the 12,000-square-foot complex will house 40 meteorologists and other staff members of what is officially known as the Colorado River Basin Forecast Center. The move was made earlier this week.
