Tickets are going fast for the Hale Center Theater's world premiere of "Jane Eyre: The Musical." Many performances are already sold out and scattered "singles" remain for some shows.
Publicist Sally Dietlein also cautioned HCT patrons that late arrivals cannot be seated during Act One, due to the many scene changes. Actors and scenery handlers use virtually all of the theater's aisles and exits to move props in and out.Doors open at 7:30 for the evening performances, Mondays through Saturdays, which begin at 8 p.m.
There are also matinees scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 and 27 and Sept. 10, 17 and 24.
Due to "Steel Magnolias" opening Sept. 30, "Jane Eyre: The Musical" cannot be extended, al-though Deitlein noted that a couple of additional performances might be fit in toward the end of the run in lieu of dress rehearsals for the next production.
There is also a special Dystonia Foundation benefit performance on Monday, Sept. 12, at noon, for which some seats may be available.
For reservations, contact the Hale Center Theatre box office at 484-9257. The theater is located at 2801 S. Main, South Salt Lake.
