Being most fortunate to have the opportunity to live in my mountain retreat of Emigration Canyon, I personally feel that such places as Sugarhouse Park should be left as is for those who live in a city environment.

Even though I live where I do, I enjoy the park for its green, cool grass, meandering stream that leads into a small pond with fountains, and baby ducks galore. But I also have another reason for wanting the Sugarhouse Park to remain as is - the Garden Center.

Though the building is small, it has been the home of 29 garden clubs with approximately 1,100 members. It has also served 6,000 people from various nonprofit organizations since January 1994.

I realize that more family oriented facilities are needed, but let the park remains as is.
