The Tintic Silver Festival celebration will run Aug. 19-21 in Eureka.

On Friday, Aug. 19, a TNT Muz-zleloaders Rendezvous will start at noon at Tintreka Park. Also beginning at noon will be the sixth annual Silver City Reunion, which will feature a potluck dinner at 1 p.m.Little League baseball will take center stage at 4 p.m. with a game at Tintic High School. The Miss Tintic Pageant will follow at the high school auditorium at 6 p.m. Admission is $2.50 per individual or $10 for a family pass.

Saturday, Aug. 20, will start with a 6:30 a.m. flag ceremony at the LDS church parking lot. A Boy Scout-sponsored breakfast will follow from 7 to 9 a.m., also at the church parking lot. Charge is $2.50 for individuals or $10 per family.

At 7:30 a.m. an eight-mile run and a 10-mile bike race will begin at Tintic High. Entry fee is $12 before Aug. 10 and $15 the day of the race. Silver dollars will be presented to all finishers. A parade will wind its way through the town center from the high school beginning at 10 a.m. Entrants should be at the high school by 9 a.m.

Museums at the Depot and City Hall will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The PTSA and Little League will operate fund-raising booths along Main Street following the parade.

Games and other activities will be held at the elementary school beginning at 11 a.m.

The TNT Muzzleloaders will be shooting from noon to 5 p.m. at the park. Shooters must be 10 years or older, have a hunter's safety card or be accompanied by a responsible adult. A Dutch oven dessert contest will begin at 6 p.m.

The senior citizens organization will offer a luncheon open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Boxing matches will be held at the high school beginning at 4 p.m. General admission is $4. There will be a karate exhibition at intermission.

The Tintic alumni baseball game will begin at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Sunday will feature TNT shooting through the day, ending at dark. Concession stands will open at 10 a.m. At 2 p.m. the Tintic School District will sponsor a video presentation titled "Tintic" in the high school auditorium.
