An Ogden man who was reported missing has been found unharmed.
Neil Olofson, 40, appeared in Escalante after camping alone for more than two weeks, reporting his automobile had quit running. He told deputy Celeste Bernards that he had camped in the mountains and was able to get his vehicle running after being helped by people apparently from Kentucky. He said he had not been concerned about his personal survival because he had sufficient supplies.Others were concerned when Olofson failed to report back to his job after leaving July 23. He is employed by a contractor at Bryce Canyon National Park.
Extensive search efforts were launched by search and rescue teams, law enforcement officers, Civil Air Patrol and Olofson's parents.
