A 13-year-old boy remained hospitalized Friday in serious condition after his 11-year-old brother impaled him with a sprinkler.

The brothers were apparently fighting outside their home at 6375 S. Fuchsia Driver (5070 West) when the younger brother threw a sprinkler with a spiked end at the 13-year-old and it went into his back, said Salt Lake County deputy Rod Norton.Brian Brown was taken by helicopter to LDS Hospital, where he was in serious condition in the intensive care unit Friday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
