Alma James (Jay) Larkin, Jr. died August 12, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah of a cardiac arrest.

Born November 29, 1913 in Salt Lake City, a son of Alma J., Sr. and Nellie Jane Stark Larkin. Married Lucille Anderson November 9, 1935.Long-time member of Fort Douglas-Hidden Valley Country Club and the Salt Lake Kawanis Club. Active member of Pioneer Trails Advisory Committee. Active as a funeral director and mortuary owner for all his life (he was born in the funeral home). He was also active in many other businesses and associations.

Jay will be missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he has touched.

Survivors: Wife and children, Alma J. (Jim) III and wife, Alice; Lane R. and wife, Joan, both of Salt Lake City; Allene Larkin, Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Michelle Chatterton, Jodi Andreason, Luana Payne, Vince, Jayson, Lane, Jr., and Joseph Larkin; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Max S. Larkin. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, MaryAnn Larkin.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 1994, 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 until 10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
