D.R. Horton Custom Homes, Arlington, Texas, the nation's 24th largest homebuilder according to the 1994 Building Magazine 100, has signed to take 200 lots at South Mountain, a $600 million residential development in Draper.
"South Mountain offers a perfect location nestled against the Wasatch Mountains and overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. The project is compatible with our standards to provide homes with more amenities, greater design flexibility and affordable prices," said Bob Mekkelson, division vice president for Horton.The development includes 1,500 acres in Draper that will consist of 1,700 homes, an equestrian center, outdoor amphitheater, public golf course, recreation center and transportation depot, according to Terry C. Diehl, South Mountain chief executive officer.
