My 5-year-old son, David, was at his kindergarten testing during the fall. He had done all of the work, and the last thing he was assigned to do was to draw a picture of a member of his family.

He drew his father. He initially forgot a few things, so one by one he added things such as hair and clothes. His teacher asked him, "Is he all done?"

David looked at the figure he had drawn and then at his teacher. I was observing and thought he would notice that his picture of his Dad didn't have hands. After a moment, David responded, "I know, he doesn't have his scriptures."

My husband was a bishop at the time and was frequently reading his scriptures or carrying them to meetings and interviews. We got a good laugh out of David's observation.
