The Utah Royals from Sandy won the national 10-and-under AAU baseball title Saturday In Kansas City, Mo., for the second straight year with a 7-3 victory over Tennessee.

There were 28 teams from 20 states competing. The Royals won 10 of 12 games to take the title.Mitch Olsen pitched in nine of 12 games and was named the tourney MVP. Other team members are: Matt Rasmussen, Johnnie Knoble, Brett Hendricks, Pat Overholt, Ryan Judd, Matt Andersen, Justin McMurtrey, Cody Johnson, Tony Harris, Isaac Cannon, Carter Schofield. The team is coached by Rand Rasmussen, John Knoble and Jan Knoble.

Three players were named to All-American and All-tourney teams: Olsen, Rasmussen and Knoble. They led the team in hitting.
