The Utah Conference on Violence will be held Sept. 13-14 at Utah State University.
Educators, social workers, health and medical professionals, concerned citizens, law enforcement officials, court officials and community leaders are invited to attend.Keynote presentations include a look at America's violence crisis, presented by Atlanta Associate Judge Clinton Deveaux; mass media and violence by noted author Myrian Miedzian; where to go from here by Barbara Hart, legal director of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence; and an address by Elizabeth Loescher, executive director of the Conflict Center in Denver.
Another session will focus on building community coalitions, led by Barbara Bader of Community Systems Inc., in Bozeman, Mont.
