The price of a Sunday home-delivered edition of the Deseret News will cost 25 cents more beginning Sept. 19 because of steadily rising newspaper production costs.
The price increase affects all seven-day and Sunday-only subscriptions. Six-day subscriptions will not be affected. The last rate increase was in 1987, but, "since our last increase, we have absorbed the added cost of newspaper production without changing our subscription rates," said Stephen Kelsey, Newspaper Agency Corporation circulation director. "However, we cannot hold off any longer."
The rate increase does not apply to the Sunday newsrack edition. Anyone with questions can call NAC's customer service department at 237-2900 or 1-800-662-9076.
