Michael Jordan will miss his first nationally televised baseball appearance Sunday night because of a shoulder injury that is expected to sideline him for at least five days.

Jordan sat out Saturday night's game for the Birmingham Barons in Huntsville because of the injury sustained when he dove for a ball the previous night."It's going to be at least five days," said Larry Monroe, farm director for the parent Chicago White Sox.

"It looks like he strained his left rotator cuff.," he said.

The Barons will be shown at Memphis on Sunday night by ESPN. The network scheduled Jordan's game after the major league strike wiped out the planned Toronto at New York telecast.
