Our beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Joyce Marie Paulsen died August 12, 1994 at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. She fought a courageous fight until the pain made it impossible to stay and longer. She was a beautiful, caring person always concerned about others.
Joyce was born August 7, 1952 in Price, a daughter of Paul J. and Mary Grace McElprang Paulsen. Married Korey G. Martin; later divorced.Graduated from Bingham High School; member National Honor Society. Graduated from LDS Business College and became a successful businesswoman in the insurance field. Employed at present with The New England Group. She loved her dogs and cats, especially her "Buddy", good books, nice clothes, trusted friends, solitude and quiet. She was a survivor of many difficulties until her present illness left her without the peace she sought.
Survived by parents, West Jordan; brothers and sisters: Judith and Bob Davis, Taylorsville; Pauline and Grant Dansie, Riverton; Glen and Patty Paulsen, West Valley City; Alma and Linda Paulsen, West Jordan; Janean and Glen Roach, Las Vegas, Nevada; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; 12 nieces and nephews and two great nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents Glen and Julia Paulsen and Milton and Jennie McElprang. Also survived by stepchildren Korey, Jr., Kim, and Sherree, all of whom she dearly loved.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 12:00 Noon, at West Jordan 44th Ward, 1899 West 7600 South. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., at McDougal West Jordan Mortuary, 1861 West 7800 South, and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment: West Jordan City Cemetery.
