SHARE BYU ALUMNI BAND PLANS CONCERT SATURDAY TO AID LITERACY PROGRAM

The Brigham Young University Alumni Band will perform a benefit concert for the Adult Literacy Program at Cove Point Retirement Community, 1988 N. Cove Point Lane (off Columbia Lane), on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m.

The concert will also feature The Insight Players, an improvisational troupe known for light dramatic performances. Bring your own blanket or chairs for seating. Suggested donations are $5 for families, $2.50 for singles and $1 for seniors.The Adult Literacy Program assists adults and children in overcoming barriers that have prevented them from learning how to read. Participants are guided by volunteer tutors, who meet with students twice a week in a one-on-one setting.
