Distinguished pianist and teacher, David Glen Hatch, will appear at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theater, Friday, Aug. 19, at 8:15 p.m. in "An Evening with David Glen Hatch."
Hatch has performed throughout the world and in such noted concert halls as Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center and New York's Carnegie Hall and is a two-time semifinalist in the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. Friday's recital will open with Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C-Sharp minor. A section of largely familiar works will follow: "Memory" from Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats," "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera," "Circle of Our Love" from Saturday's Warrior by Lex de Azevado and "The Test" by Janice Kapp Perry.Hatch has produced 10 albums on the Covenant label and two CDs of classical, Christmas and religious music. He has also published two volumes of religious arrangements with Jackman Music Corporation.
Tickets will be available at the gate beginning at 7 p.m. at a cost of $5 for adults and $3 for children.
