Bobbie Coray, who is challenging Jim Hansen for his 1st Congressional District seat, criticized Utah Democratic representatives Wednesday for voting against NASA's space station.

"Bill Orton and Karen Shepherd were wrong to vote against the station," she said. "I understand their frustration with the bureaucracy and inefficiency at NASA, but the way to stop that is to restructure, to take out the politics and establish a national priority for space," she said.- Coray also led this week a coalition of Utah law enforcement officials in a public show of support for the federal crime bill.

Cache and Weber county attorneys, police detectives and Attorney General Jan Graham joined Coray.

She said the bill would bring 500 new law enforcement officers into the state.
