Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Gilbert G. Wilbur, age 83, passed away at home August 13, 1994 of natural causes.
Born July 27, 1911 in Eden, Utah to Ernest Roy and Anna Christina Hansen Wilbur. He married Beulah J. Thomas June 14, 1938 in Kaysville, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church, where he served in various capacities including Club Scout leader. Retired after 66 years with the Salt Lake Tribune and Telegram and NAC.Survived by his wife; children, LaNola (Dale) Smith, North Salt Lake; Norman (Judy) Plano, Texas and Clyde (Debbie), West Point, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack and Dick; sisters, Faye Scheiller, Edna Burt, Joy Scott and June Punshon. Preceded in death by sisters, Laura Riesing, Betty Reid and brother, Loyal.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 17, 1994 at 12 noon at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East where viewing will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
