Emeline Saphronia Hendricks Florence, age 84, passed away on August 15, 1994 at her son's home in Milford.
She was born on January 18, 1910 in Marysville, Idaho to Charles Orren and Emily Earl Hendricks. She married Leonard Giles Florence on October 1, 1934 in Fielding, Utah and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 18, 1957. He preceded her in death in April 1990.She was a member of the DUP and a member of the LDS Church, where she held many jobs in Relief Society, Sunday School, and Primary. She was also the ward librarian. She was a member of the Morgan Senior Citizens. She loved gardening and doing genealogy. She spent a lot of time on the farm with her husband. She always put her husband and family first. She was a very loving mother, wife and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Larry Giles and Evonne Florence of North Ogden; Katherine Stain of Ogden; Samuel S. and Maria Florence of Milford; and Lana and Gary Chadburn of Minersville. She had 22 grand- and 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd and Jeannine Hendricks of Salt Lake City; sisters, Iva Florence, Magna; Donna Meza, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, LaMar; brothers, Milton and Charles; and sisters, Thelma and Lenora.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 1994 at 1 p.m., in the Morgan 6th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be held in the Morgan City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary of Milford.
