The winner in the Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback derby has never been in doubt. The race for place and show, however, is too tight to call.

The job of backing up Joe Montana will fall to either Matt Blundin or Steve Bono, Montana's former backup at San Francisco who the Chiefs acquired in a trade this year."Right now it's neck-and-neck," coach Marty Schottenheimer said Tuesday.

Bono and Blundin will each play a quarter in Monday night's game with Chicago.
