Ernie Riles hit a bases-loaded triple Tuesday night and the Vancouver Canadians trounced the Edmonton Trappers 14-6 in the Pacific Coast League.

Riles' triple highlighted a four-run fifth inning that made it 5-1.Andrew Lorraine (11-3) gave up one run in five-plus innings for Vancouver, California's top farm team.

Firebirds 6, Cannons 2

In Calgary, Alberta, errors by Dale Sveum, Brian Turang and Greg Pirkl set up six unearned runs and gave Phoenix a win Calgary.

Jerry Willard hit his 22nd home run for Calgary, Seattle's top farm team.

Sky Sox 14, Toros 13

In Colorado Springs, Colo., Webster Garrison went 4-for-6, extending his hitting streak to 18 games, and drove in two runs as Colorado Springs beat Tucson.

Garrison's two-run single in the ninth tied it at 13. After an intentional walk to Jason Bates, Jim Tatum won it with an RBI double.

Dukes 10, Tigers 3

In Albuquerque, N.M., Mike Busch hit two homers and drove in five runs, and Albuquerque beat Tacoma.

Busch hit a three-run homer off Mike Mohler (0-2) in the sixth inning for a 5-3 lead. Tom Prince followed with his 17th home run of the season, and Albuquerque added an unearned run off reliever Tim Smith for a 7-3 advantage.

In the seventh, Billy Ashley, who leads the PCL with 32 home runs, drew a walk and Busch hit his 24th home run.

Ashley, Todd Hollandsworth and Eddie Pye each had two hits for the Dukes.
