Robert George Tenney passed away August 15, 1994, after a short illness at a local hospital in Salt Lake.
He was affectionately known as "Bob" and was born in Salt Lake City to Orrawell and Irene Riches Tenney, September 25, 1928. Bob attended schools in Salt Lake City and was later employed as a supervisor for thirty plus years with Commercial Intertech Inc. Loved the outdoors and nature, including hunting, fishing and his rock and gem explorations with Carma and friends in their motorhome. A man of rich qualities that made him loved and adored by all that knew him. His concern for others showed much compassion, charity and understanding. He was very gifted with many talents he shared freely with others and was a craftsman in all endeavors he pursued. Woodwork was his specialty although he really enjoyed working with assorted rocks, stones, and gems. Together with Carma, he traveled extensively in search of good fishing and collecting rock specimens. His great love and concern for his children and grandchildren brought him great joy and satisfaction.Survived by wife, Carma; five children, Shawna and Rick Tenney; Terri and Steve Salen; Penny and David Couchman; Cherie and Kevin Judd; seven grandchildren; sister, Marilyn and Clark Anderson; brothers, Gordon and Keith and Rosemary Tenney.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 1-1:45 p.m. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
