SHARE DEATH: HJORDIS J. MORLEY (SKOLLINGSBERG)

Our gentle loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend left her earthly existence August 16, 1994.

She constantly proved she was a survivor-during struggles in Norway in World War II, leaving her homeland to provide a better life for her family, and her latest fight with ovarian cancer-her strength and perseverance were an inspiration. She was born February 19, 1921 - Ostfold, Norway to Johan and Anna Johansen. Married Olaf Karsten Skollingsberg, October 14, 1944 in Norway. Solemnized March 1956, Salt Lake Temple. He died September 6, 1985.

They were blessed with three children and five grandchildren, all surviving: Arne and Son Davin, Ellen, Roy and wife Susan, their children, Ryan, Jason, Tiffany, and Angela.

On March 1, 1990 she married Robert J. Morley, a very loving kind and gentle man, in the South Jordan Temple. Their time together brought many wonderful experiences.

Through this marriage she is survived by her husband, his children, Jan, Robert, Susan, Joe, Elizabeth, Russell and their families.

Her hands were kept busy making quilts, afghans, needlework and creating beautiful flower gardens which were admired by many. She kept alive Norwegian traditions through her stories, wonderful cookies, scrumptious meals, and special Christmas activities.

Converted to the LDS Church while in Norway. Immigrated, with her family, to the United States in 1954. Active member of the church, holding various positions. Her love for children was evident in the time she took to prepare lessons for Primary classes. She spent many hours successfully researching family history. Her time spent in temple sessions was special, giving her strength and peace. Her special spirit will remain a part of our lives forever.
