Dean A. Wright, director of food services at Utah State University, has been voted president-elect of the National Association of College and University Food Services.
Wright has been in charge of food services at USU since 1990. Prior to that he directed food services at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii. He has also been a food services director at College of Eastern Utah and Brigham Young University in Hawaii.Active in NACUFS since 1977, Wright has served on the national computer, finance and image committees and has been president of the association's Region VIII since 1992. He is on the Utah Restaurant Association board of directors. He is an adjunct professor at USU.
He has received the President's Award from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services. He is a graduate of BYU.
The National Association of College and University Food Services is the professional society for campus dining directors and support staff at over 560 institutions of higher learning in the U.S., Canada and abroad.
