James Saville McCloy, 77, died August 16, 1994, in a Holladay care center.

She was born March 2, 1917, in Murray, Utah, to John and Agnes Mary Tame McCloy. Married Margaret Ottley on June 25, 1946, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Veteran of World War II. Educator in Granite School District for 33 years. Active member of the LDS Church. Scoutmaster and recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Served as ward clerk, bishop's counselor, bishop, counselor in Cottonwood Stake Presidency, first president of South Cottonwood and Little Cottonwood Stakes and sealer in the Jordan River Temple.Survived by wife; daughter and sons, Dolores; Kelly, both Salt Lake; Collin O., Ogden; Joseph C. and Michael A., both Stockton, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph M., Murray; sister, Mildred Isaacson, Murray. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Martin James; brother, Haller McCloy; sisters, Jean McCloy Buck and Lucille McCloy Shafter.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 20, 1994, 11 a.m. at Little Cottonwood 6th Ward, 6410 So. 725 East. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
