SHARE 2 AMERICAN INDIAN PROGRAMS GET FUNDS FOR JOB TRAINING

The U.S. Labor Department has granted $638,650 to two Utah organizations to operate employment and training programs for American Indians.

Indian Center Employment Services Inc., Salt Lake City, will receive $479,052 and the Ute Indian Tribe, Fort Duchesne, will get $159,598.In addition to job referrals and placements into subsidized jobs, the programs offer job training, counseling and other support services such as child-care assistance, transportation and training allowances.
