A resident of Lahoma, Okla., searches for a lost pet in the wreckage of her mobile home after a violent storm pounded the town with golfball-size hail and high winds Wednesday. The storm, with winds reportedly gusting to 113 mph, damaged houses and knocked down power lines and trees as it moved through the area. Rain and thunderstorms were forecast from the Plains to the upper Mississippi River Valley again Thursday. Scattered thunderstorms were expected throughout the day from Florida to New England.
