Our beloved mother, Elisa Tostado Lujan died at home among family and friends, on August 17, 1994.
She was born May 10, 1909 in El Rodeo Tamazula, Durango, Mexico to Rafael and Aurelia Tostado Beltran. She married Jose Leon, deceased. They had four children, two of whom are deceased. She married Alejandro Hurtado. They had four children. Later divorced. She married Albert Lujan, deceased. They had two children.Elisa was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She dedicated her life to her children and their families. She had the unique ability to make lifelong friends. All of us will miss her love, counsel and wisdom. She was self employed all of her adult life. She operated businesses in Bingham Canyon, Ogden, Lark and Salt Lake City.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Fred Leon, Col. (Retired) Gus A. (Gladys) Leon; Alex P. (Ramona) Hurtado; Ralph (Laura) Hurtado; Col Arthur J. Hurtado; Beatrice (Fernando) Godina; Olivia Lujan Smith; Charlene (Ben) Lopez; sister, Dora Tostado of Los Angeles; and brother, Hector Tostado of Mexico; 31 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 715 West 300 No. A vigil service will be held Friday at 8 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 So., where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
