Oscar-winning British actor Anthony Hopkins made such a compelling character out of the mysterious Dr. Van Helsing in the film "Bram Stoker's Dracula" that producer Francis Coppola and Columbia Pictures are planning a sequel tentatively titled "The Death of Dr. Van Helsing."

The dear doc will be wrenched away from London and Transylvania and set down in San Francisco at the time of the 1906 earthquake and fire.Coppola will produce and his son, Roman Coppola, who worked on "Bram Stoker's Dracula," will direct.
