Mary Winona Taylor, 67, passed away July 31, 1994 at her home in Salt Lake City.
Born July 17, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank and Johanna Petersen Salmon. Graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. degree in nursing. Married Calvin Roy Wilkins September 8, 1950. He preceded her in death. Married Mark M. Taylor, February 17, 1969. Member of the LDS Church. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed nursing, gardening, music and travel. Even after her illness she was unselfish in caring for others. She was a great example for those who knew her. Member of the Utah State Nurses' Association and worked tirelessly for the American Red Cross. She and Mark are owners of a local business.Winona was a fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who had an incredible zest for life.
Survived by: husband, Mark, Salt Lake City; children: Paul Wilkins, Caleen Lee, Kirk Wilkins, Gordon Wilkins, Tonja Shortridge; Kelly Taylor; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 1994, 11 a.m., at the Cottonwood 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 1630 East 6400 South. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates.
