Ada Myrtle Giles Thurston, 90, died Monday, August 1, 1994 in Morgan.
She was born July 27, 1904 in Littleton, Utah to Fredrick W. and Rebecca Emma Spencer Giles. On November 27, 1925 she married Glen Harris Thurston in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated from Morgan High School and Weber Academy with a certificate in teaching. Active as a 4H leader and in politics. She enjoyed working with the horses and stagecoach ride at Lagoon and was part of the movie "The Donner Party". She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting.Surviving are her husband, Glen, Morgan; two sons and three daughters, Dale (Barbara) Thurston, Fred (Jean) Thurston, Ann (Micheal) McMillan, all of Morgan; Connie (Bob) Ford, Washington; Nell (James) Nickerson, Massachusetts; 31 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Lula Barker, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by one son, Steve, one daughter, Sally Rust, three brothers, one sister and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 1994 at 1 p.m. in the Morgan 2nd Ward Chapel, 11 West Young Street, Morgan, with Bishop Kevin Ovard officiating. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment: Milton Cemetery.
