Radia Parkinson Larson Daynes passed away August 15, 1994 in Salt Lake City.

Born February 10, 1900 in Franklin, Idaho to Nephi and Bertha Parkinson Larson. Married Joseph Donald Daynes, August 30, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death March 27, 1978. Graduated from Oneida High School in Preston, Idaho; valedictorian of her class. Attended Utah State University in Logan, where she was a member of Sigma Theta Phi, later called Chi Omega sorority, and active in class organizations. Graduated from University of Utah; member of Gamma Phi, later called Pi Beta Phi sorority. Member of several art and social groups: Fine Arts, Booklore, Everlasting Study Group of church history for many years. Devoted member of LDS Church, having served in Relief Society presidency, YWMIA and Primary. Served as a Stake Missionary, Bonneville Stake, for three years. Member DUP. Ordinance worker in Salt Lake Temple, volunteer worker in LDS Church Communications Department and Dept. of Social Services for six years. LDS Hospital volunteer worker for many years.Survivors: one son and three daughters, J. Richard and wife, Yvonne, of Salt Lake City; Rae Jean Maeser and husband, Dr. Sherwin M. of Seattle, Washington; Barbara Bigler, of Salt Lake City; Marian Millet and husband, Dr. F. Jackson, of Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren; brother, Dr. Reed P. Larson and Lennox, of Salt Lake; two sisters, Roma Parry Osborn and Sam, of Palm Springs, Calif.; and June Larson, of Salt Lake. Preceded in death by brothers, Platte, Preston, Kimber and Keith.

Funeral services Monday, August 22, 1994, 12 noon, South Cottonwood Stake Center, 1260 East 4800 So. Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 So., Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. and at the church Monday, one hour prior. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
