Bernardo Brito hit three home runs Saturday night to lead the Salt Lake Buzz past the Edmonton Trappers 10-5 in Pacific Coast League action.
Marty Cordova added two homers for the Buzz.Brito, Salt Lake's designated hitter, belted a two-run homer off Edmonton starter Kurt Miller (5-12) in the first inning and led off the third inning with a solo shot over the right-field wall.
Brito picked up his fifth RBI with his 27th homer, a two-run smash off reliever Darrin Chapin in the fourth.
A sixth inning single rounded out Brito's 4-for-5 performance.
Cordova hit his first homer in the second inning and Dave McCarty and Denny Hocking followed with consecutive triples in the three-run inning.
Eddie Guardado (11-6) threw eight innings for the Buzz with six strikeouts. He gave up four runs and 10 hits before giving way to reliever Matt Stevens.
