Margaret May Garfield Carter, 92, died in Spanish Fork, Utah on August 19, 1994.
She was born November 16, 1901, at Lehi, Utah, a daughter of Parley H. and Elizabeth Ann Dallimore Garfield. She married Clarence H. Carter, June 24, 1919 at Santaquin, the marriage was sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, September 19, 1928. He died December 17, 1981.She was a member of the LDS Church and served as a visiting teacher for over seventy years. She was a Temple worker and a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering, cooking and baking.
Survived by three daughters, Lillian Brimhall, Sandy; Mrs. Norman (Marjorie) Olson, Magna, Utah; Mrs. Ray (Joan) Thomas, Spanish Fork; 22 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Drage, Spanish Fork. Preceded in death by a son, Clarence Ray Carter; and three daughters; Donna C. Carter, Rita C. Peart and ReNee C. Harris.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 23, 1994, at 11:00 a.m., at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and an hour prior to services on Tuesday at Holladay Hills. Interment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
