Max Dean Sorensen, 92, died August 19, 1994 in Richfield, Utah.
He was born December 16, 1901 in Salina, Utah to James G. and Anna Belle Allred Sorensen. He married Bernice Okerlund October 31, 1924 in Richfield, Utah. He farmed for many years and loved horses. He was a member of the Salina Riding Club. He was a rider for the Cattlemen's Association. He is one of the last survivors of the Salina Champion Baseball Team. He and his wife attended all of the North Sevier High School Basketball Games.Survivors include his wife, Bernice; and four sons: Bry of Salt Lake City; Dent (Smokey) of Salina; Nard of Salt Lake City; and Ted of Moab; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Tad, living in Idaho; and Mrs. Zell Steele, Richfield.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 23, 1994 at 12:00 Noon in the Salina Second Ward. Friends may call at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, Tuesday morning 10:30 to 11:30 prior to services. Burial in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the direction of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Salina, and Richfield.
