SHARE OREM HOSPITAL PLANS HEALTH AND SAFETY FAIR

The seventh annual Health and Safety Fair at Orem Community Hospital, 331 N. 400 West, will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The theme this year will be "Health in Motion."

To help with this year's theme will be a wide variety of safety booths and displays. The fair will be held on the hospital's north lawn and will feature something for all ages, with more than 45 activities available, including demonstrations by LifeFlight, kids aerobics, Ask-a-Nurse, free fingerprinting and a reptile exhibit.Local schoolchildren will perform dancing, clogging and singing numbers. Rides will include a mini-train, Ferris wheel and moonwalk.

Information and displays will be available on poison prevention, fire safety and on drug awareness.

Demonstrations on how to deal safely with pets and animals will also be presented.

Cholesterol screening for adults will be available for $5 and blood pressure checks will be provided at no charge. Also, younger children can bring their stuffed animal or doll to a Teddy Bear Clinic for a "check-up" by a registered nurse.
