Juab County commissioners have appointed five citizens to serve on a committee to work with the county and the Utah Division of Wildlife in establishing a plan for Burraston Ponds and for determining what should be done with Class B roads near the Steele Ranch.
David Worwood will represent businessmen, Rex Bailey will represent livestock owners, Al Robb will represent sportsmen, Commissioner Gordon Young will represent the county and Jordan Pederson will represent the DWR."The next thing we will need to do is meet as a committee and come up with some constructive ideas," said Young. "We rejected an earlier plan the DWR proposed."
"Now we will try to come up with a mutually acceptable plan," said Young. "All of the local citizens and Pederson have agreed to serve on the committee," said Commissioner Ike Lunt.
Lunt said the committee will also address Wash Canyon and Steele Ranch roads. Both have been proposed for closure by the DWR.
