Don't ask Anita Baker how she got this far.

Firmly entrenched in domesticity, the Grammy-winning singer lives in an antique-filled, 15-room lakeside mansion in Grosse Pointe, Mich., with her husband, Walter Bridgeforth, and their sons, 3-month-old Edward and 1 1/2-year-old Walter. She has two nannies and an assistant who often whips up the family dinner, but life's still hectic.

"I've met women who can write a lyric, feed the baby and pick out pants for their husbands, but I'm not that woman," Baker told InStyle magazine.

Make no mistake, though, Baker isn't complaining.

"I don't ever remember saying, `Yes, I will marry you.' But now, I'm awfully glad to have it all."
