Edmonton Trappers starting pitcher Mike Zimmerman won his third game of the year as the home team defeated Salt Lake 9-5 Monday night.

In his five and one-third innings, Zimmerman struck out four, but also balked, hit a batter and was charged with a fielding error.Jerry Spradlin pitched the final two innings for his first save as the Trappers struck for 13 hits.

The Trappers scored four runs on five hits in the fifth inning.

Reliever Darin Chapin pitched two innings for the Trappers, giving up three hits, including Marty Cordova's two RBI double off the left field wall, scoring Brian Raabe and Jeff Carter.
