Questar Pipeline Co. and Coastal Gas Gathering and Processing Co. have formed a partnership to construct the Blacks Fork Gas Plant in southwest Wyoming.

The plant, owned equally by Houston-based Coastal Gas and Salt Lake-based Questar, has a design capacity of 84 million cubic feet of natural gas a day. The plant will be located on Questar's gathering system in the Moxa Arch area in the Green River Basin of Wyoming, described by a spokesman as "one of the most prolific natural gas producing areas in the Rockies."The plant will have equipment capable of producing ethane, propane, butane and natural gasoline, the spokesman said. Plant products can be transported to market by pipeline, rail and truck. The plant is already under construction and is scheduled to be on-line before the end of the year.
