A new exhibition of facsimile images at the National Records Center reveals details of day-to-day combat tactics of American troops in the Vietnam War.
"The Paper Trail: Army Records From Vietnam," organized by the National Archives, is a sampling from its holdings of original documentation and records available to researchers. The exhibit includes documents describing the surprise Tet offensive of 1968, materials and comments about the legacies of the Vietnam experience, and items showing how the Vietnam War was different from other conflicts.
The installation will be on display indefinitely.
