Martha Nause birdied the last three holes Thursday to match the course record with a 7-under-par 65 and take a one-stroke lead after the opening round of the du Maurier Classic. Nause, a 16-year LPGA Tour veteran, equalled the course record set by former club pro Ken Clark and matched by Jack Nicklaus in 1960.
