Bad manners and poor timing led to the arrest of an Oklahoma man who unknowingly cut in front of two plain-clothes police officers in order to rob a convenience store, authorities said.
Police said Joe Campbell Jr., 26, walked up to the counter of a local 7-Eleven store Wednesday night, ignoring the two other customers already waiting in line.Unfortunately for Campbell, they were Oklahoma City police officers Danny Fitzwilliam and Jon Whitekiller.
After Campbell allegedly showed a knife to the clerk and reached into the till, the two undercover policemen wrestled him to the ground and arrested him, said Oklahoma City Police Department spokesman, Sergeant Bill Martin.
"If he had been behind them (the police officers), they would have made their purchases and left," Martin said. "His rudeness got him caught."
