Todd Hollandsworth had two hits and drove in three runs as Albuquerque cruised to a 10-2 win over Salt Lake Saturday night in the Pacific Coast League.
Billy Ashley hit his 36th home run of the season in the second, tying the game at 1-1. Hollandsworth doubled home two runs in the fourth as the Dukes took the lead for good.Eddie Pye singled to score Hollandsworth, giving Albuquerque starter Jody Treadwell (9-6) a 4-1 lead. In the sixth, Don Barbara doubled home two runs, and Hollandsworth singled him home to make it 7-1.
The Buzz scored their final run in the seventh on a double by Scott Stahoviak and an RBI ground-out by Dan Masteller. After two-out singles by Tim McIntosh and Marty Cordova, David McCarty walked to fill the bases and Treadwell departed.
Reliever Todd Williams struck out Denny Hocking to end the threat, then pitched shutout ball in relief. Al Osuna finished the game by retiring the Buzz in order in the ninth.
Albuquerque's final runs came in the eighth on a two-run single by Jose Offerman and a run-scoring single by Ron Coomer.
Salt Lake starter Oscar Munoz (8-7) gave up 10 hits and seven runs before leaving in the seventh. He went 0-3 against Albuquerque this season.
