The 1994 NIKE Utah Classic, which goes from Sept. 6-11 at Provo's Riverside Country Club, is need of more than 400 local volunteers.
The volunteers will help in a variety of ways, including driving courtesy vehicles and shuttle vans, marshaling, greenside reporting, scorekeeping, leaderboard operating and standard bearing (carrying hand-held scoreboards).Volunteers pay $30 for their tournament uniforms. For this fee, they will receive a golf shirt, cap, two passes for the tournament week, lunch each day worked and one round of golf at the Riverside Country Club.
The Classic, which generates thousands of dollars for the Utah Special Olympics and the local Boys & Girls Club, will feature the world's best young professional golfers.
