Bo, 10, born Dec. 9, 1983, is a bright and curious boy with a nice sense of humor. An energetic
child, Bo enjoys all kinds of physical activities, sports and camping.Due to experiences of abuse and neglect, Bo has a hard time trusting people. With very firm limits, he does fairly well, but he still tests the rules, is often uncooperative and has had behavior problems. After living in five foster homes since April 1990, Bo began weekly individual therapy, which he has had for two years, and he started group therapy earlier this year.
In addition to his emotional and behavior problems, there is a possibility that Bo may have fetal alcohol affect. Test results should be available soon. Bo has an average IQ and has done fairly well in a regular fourth-grade classroom.
Bo dreams of having a family of his own and being able to visit his brothers and sister, who are also in foster care. His social worker feels he needs a two-parent Anglo family and that he should be the youngest or only child. Financial assistance is available.
