Todd Hollandsworth and Eddie Pye singles led Albuquerque to a 2-1 victory Sunday afternoon and a sweep of a four-game series with Salt Lake in the Pacific Coast League.

After the Buzz went ahead 1-0 in the first on a triple by Dan Masteller and a single by Scott Stahoviak, the Dukes tied the game in the second. Billy Ashley singled and went to third on another single by Don Barbara. Hollandsworth's single scored Ashley and tied the game.The Dukes scored what turned out to be the winning run in the fifth on a double by Tom Prince and a single by Pye.

Gary Wayne (4-3), the second of four Dukes pitchers, worked three innings and earned the victory.

Antonio Osuna picked up his third save, although the Buzz threatened after two were out on a walk and an infield single.

Stahoviak grounded out to end the game.

Salt Lake starter Mike Misuraca (2-5) pitched six innings and gave up seven hits and both runs to take the loss.

Masteller, Stahoviak and Marty Cordova each had two hits for the Buzz, who outhit the Dukes 9-7.

Vancouver 7, Calgary 1, 1st game

Vancouver 10, Calgary 5, 2nd game

At Calgary, Alberta, Garrett Anderson and Mark Sweeney hit consecutive two-run singles Sunday to power the Vancouver Canadians to a 10-5 victory over the Calgary Cannons and a sweep of their Pacific Coast League doubleheader.

In the first game, Mark Ratekin (10-5) pitched a five-hitter and P.J. Forbes went 3-for-4 for Vancouver.

The sweep enabled Vancouver to regain a one-half game lead over Calgary in the PCL's Northern Division.

Ernest Riles homered in the nightcap for the Canadians, who opened a 10-5 lead with a three-run seventh.

Mark Holzemer (5-10) allowed four runs and eight hits in five innings for the win. Erik Bennett pitched the final two innings for his third save.

Roger Salkeld (3-7) took the loss.

Bill Haselman doubled, singled and drove in two runs for Calgary in Game 2.

In the opener, Forbes doubled and tripled as the Canadians, the California Angels' top farm team, collected 15 hits.

Vancouver scored four runs in the first inning against Weston Weber (11-8), who was roughed up for 12 hits and six runs in just 3 1-3 innings.

Darren Bragg had two hits and Jerry Willard drove in the lone run for Calgary, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.

Phoenix 5, Tucson 4

At Tucson, Ariz., Erik Johnson and Paul Faries had RBI singles in the 11th inning as the Phoenix Firebirds beat the Tucson Toros 5-4 in the Pacific Coast League on Sunday night.

Scooter Tucker had a pair of RBI doubles for Tucson, including one in the eighth that tied the game 3-3. Chris Hatcher completed the scoring for the Toros with a RBI double in the 11th.

Fred Costello (7-10) allowed one run on one hit in two innings of relief for the victory.

Las Vegas 7, Tacoma 2

At Las Vegas, Ray McDavid went 3-for-3 and Kerry Taylor pitched seven strong innings Sunday night to lead the Las Vegas Stars to a 7-2 victory over the Tacoma Tigers in the Pacific Coast League.

McDavid walked twice, scored once and drove in a run as the Stars handed Tacoma its ninth loss in 10 games.

Taylor (8-9) yielded one run and three hits in seven innings.

The Stars took a 2-0 lead in the first inning when Tacoma starter Tanyon Sturtze (4-4) issued two bases-loaded walks.

Tacoma got a run back in the top of the second on a leadoff homer by Marcos Armas, his 16th.

Las Vegas scored twice more in the fourth on an RBI single by Kevin Higgins and an RBI double by John Ramos. The Stars added another run in the sixth on Melvin Nieves' run-scoring single.

Sturtze allowed seven runs and 10 hits in six innings. He struck out three and walked six.

Scott Lydy had two of the Tigers' three hits.
