Jordan River State Park will close its off-road vehicle park to all vehicles during snowmobile grass drag races.

The park will be closed to ORV riding Sept. 10, 16-18; Oct. 1 and 15; and Nov. 5."It's a relatively big event and we anticipate several hundred people attending," said assistant park manager Neil Wilcox. "We'll be utilizing the whole parking lot and other areas of the park near the ORV riding areas to park vehicles, forcing us to close the park to ORV riding on those days."

The park is closed Mondays through Thursdays.

The snowmobile races, sponsored by the Utah State Snowmobile Racing Association, will be held on the park's quarter-mile grass drag strip.
